I don’t manage to update this website much but Nantwich Baby and Toddler Group is still happening every Tuesday at Market Street Church. You may have heard of a little girl called Ellie Prince who has a very rare disorder called Neonatal Adrenoleukodystrophy and is not expected to live beyond her first birthday.
She lives at Ward 17 at Leighton Hospital and her parents are raising money to furnish a room in her honour.
They are having ‘wear it purple’ days and we have said that the Baby Group would like to take part and raise money on Tuesday 8th March at our coffee morning at Market Street Church from 10.30 till 12. All the proceeds from baby group will go to the fund, plus we will be doing a ‘name the teddy’ and selling purple cupcakes.
This is also around the time of the Baby Group’s 2nd birthday so we can tie it all in together and have a party like last year. If everyone brings a bit of food (some suitable for parents, some for the children), we can get a bit of a buffet on the go!

The Nantwich Baby Group dug out our pink clothes and wore it Pink at our coffee morning for a Cancer charity.
We raised over £50 by selling pink cakes and through generous donations from the mums. Thanks to everyone who took part!
Sharon did her first Tippy Toes Toddler Dance class this morning at Baby Group. It was great fun and they really enjoyed it! It runs from 10.15 till 10.45 with Baby Sign as normal from 11 till 11.30.

16 of us from the Baby Group went out to Arom-Thai in Nantwich last night. We had a great time! I will organise another for the end of July.

Five members of the Nantwich Baby Group dusted off their trainers and ran the Tatton Park Cancer Research 5k Race for Life last week.
Alison Bowett, Louisa Duckmanton, Sarah Phillips, Nikki Francomb and Abi O’Donnell completed the course in 34 minutes and raised over £350 for this important charity.
Co-founder Alison Bowett states “Louisa had the idea of entering the race as a great way to get fit as well as raise money for charity. We started training 6 weeks ago, twice a week and soon improved. ’ The race has given them the running bug, says Alison “We are starting to train for the 10k next. Maybe we will attempt the Marathon next year!”
Last week saw nearly 30 mums and babies/toddlers come along to our coffee morning. Quite a few of you went along to Sharon’s Baby Sign class from 11 till 11.30, and we heard lots of lovely singing!
We even did some singing of our own last week, changing the format of the coffee morning slightly so we all cleared the toys away 20 minutes before the end, then enjoyed a nice sing song! We even had song sheets for those of us who can’t remember the words to all the songs.
