It’s the Baby Group’s 1st birthday!

I can’t believe it’s been a year since Toni and I jokingly said we should start our own baby group, and look where we are now! We are so pleased its been embraced and you mums and babies enjoy being a part of it. Its wonderful to see the friendships that have been forged through the group.

It would be nice to have a bit of food, so if you are coming can you bring a little something suitable for the mums and something for the babies? For example some cookies for the mums and a packet of rice cakes for the babies! Then we can put it all together and have a bit of a picnic. If you get halfway to the party and realise you have forgotten any food, don’t worry and come along anyway. I am sure there will be plenty!

I am going to make a birthday cake and if you have any balloons etc hanging around, bring them along. Don’t worry if you are going to go along to Sharon’s baby sign class as we will wait to cut the cake until after the class at 11.30. I hope you can all make it to celebrate with us.

Alison and Helen from the Nantwich Baby Group are featured in an article about how mums meet in this months issue of Pregnancy and Birth magazine!

They travelled down to London in December for the photoshoot and interview and are delighted to see it in print and publicise the baby group.

If you are pregnant or have a baby and want to be kept up to date with what is happening in the Baby Group please email nantwichbabygroup@hotmail.co.uk or fill in your details in the ‘contact us’ page.

As of 27th October, the Nantwich Baby Group will be holding our coffee mornings at Market Street Church Hall in Nantwich on a Tuesday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon (if you are standing with the Civic Hall entrance directly behind you, it is on the other side of the road attached to the car park).

As we are having to hire the hall, we ask for a £1 donation each week you attend to go towards the hire as well as the tea, coffee and juice we will provide.

The baby group will always be a non profit group and if there is ever more money collected than it has cost, it will go towards toys for the group or something like a Christmas party.

We hope to see you there!

There are 50 mums who are members of the Nantwich Baby Group but there is always room for more! If you are expecting or have a baby, why not come along to one of our coffee mornings or events?

Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you soon!

Our baby group is doing really well with lots of new faces coming along to our coffee mornings and events. If you would like to be sent an email each Monday saying what we have got going on that coming week, just email nantwichbabygroup@hotmail.co.uk or go the ‘contact us’ page and we would be happy to include you.

Anyone with a baby is welcome at our coffee mornings or events. There is no charge and we are a nice bunch of people! We hope to see you soon.

On Monday we had our first coffee morning at the Children’s Center in Nantwich. Lots of people turned up and the babies had fun playing with the toys on offer while the mums had a chat and catch up.

Anyone with a baby is welcome at our coffee mornings. There is no charge and drinks are provided by the Children’s Center. If you want any more information, see the ‘contact us’ page.

Some of you may have seen a piece in the local Guardian and Chronicle about our baby group. This has already resulted in many new members and hopefully we will get lots more.

Have a look at our Days Out and Nights Out page for details on what we have going on in the next couple of weeks.

As there are now so many of us, as of May we will be having coffee mornings at the Children’s Center in Nantwich. Please see the Coffee Mornings page for more details.

This has been a busy week for the Nantwich Baby Group, with our coffee morning on Monday, a walk around the lake in the sunshine followed by a well earned drink in town on Tuesday, then cheeky cocktails last night in Residence.

Everyone is welcome and we would love to have even more mums in our group so if you would like to come along to one of the coffee mornings or days out, find us on the ‘contact us’ page.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Nantwich Baby Group Site. This group was started by Toni Brookshaw and Alison Bowett in March 2009 following the birth of their babies Emma and Isaac in January 2009 as a way for Nantwich mums to meet other mums with babies.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the coffee mornings, which are held on a Monday morning. Please go to the Contact Us page to find out where the next one is.

We hope to see you soon!
